Daily Routine Planner

Plan your day around your Parkinson's medication schedule. This tool helps you time meals, exercise, and activities to get the most from your medications and manage “on” and “off” periods.

How This Tool Works

  • Enter your Parkinson's medications and the times you take each dose.
  • Set your wake and bed times, exercise preference, and whether you have therapy sessions.
  • The planner generates a personalized schedule that spaces protein-heavy meals away from levodopa doses and aligns exercise with your “on” periods.
  • All data is processed entirely in your browser and is never sent to our servers.

Medical Disclaimer

This planner provides general guidance based on the information you enter. It is not a substitute for medical advice. Always follow your neurologist's specific instructions regarding medication timing, diet, and exercise. If your doctor has given you different guidance about protein timing or “on”/“off” management, follow their advice.

Why Timing Matters

Levodopa, the most commonly prescribed Parkinson's medication, competes with dietary protein for absorption in the small intestine. Eating a high-protein meal too close to a levodopa dose can reduce the medication's effectiveness, leading to worse motor control. Many patients benefit from a “protein redistribution diet” that concentrates protein at dinner, when medication timing is less critical. Similarly, exercising during “on” periods (typically 30 to 90 minutes after a levodopa dose) allows for safer, more effective physical activity.
